capoeira angola cambridge newsletter

Dear Mandingueiros and Mandingueiras,

Thanks to the efforts of everybody this week we have capoeira in a new space!!!!

Monday 7 to 9pm in a squash court at the end of Cranmer rd (see description below). It is a movement class lead by Tartaruga (Aleix). This class is for free. Be ready for turtle-speed moves!

Wednesday 6.30 to 8.30 in Romsey Mill as usual. Monitor Esparramado (Richard) will be teaching the moves.

Please note that next week we'll have our first music focussed class on Thursday:

Thursday 29th 5.30 to 7.30 in the Ross Street Community Centre. It is in Ross street, after St Phillips rd on the left if coming from Mill rd. (It is close to the Romsey Mill). Professor Tijolo (Paul) will teach the class, which will focus on music.

Have a great week and see you soon!

How to get to the squash court on Monday:

you need to go to the end of the Cranmer Road and go through the gate that's there (it coincides with where the 'A' point is on the attached map). Pedestrian passage is always open. It's closed for cars (plenty of parking space before you reach the gate). Follow the path for something like 30 m and you'll see sports grounds and two small buildings on either side. We're interested in the one on the right.

Capoeira on Monday Cancelled

Dear All,

We are afraid we cannot train this Monday. We are looking for new space to train on a regular basis, please let us know if you know any suitable place where we could train.

Thank you!
